Some of the staff were exceptional. For instance, in the vegetarian restaurant, I just mentioned to Mr. Sibin (hope I have got the name right) about my dietary requirements. He was so kind and professional ensuring everything was perfect. Another instance the lady at the reception when she came to know I was checking out in the morning at 5.30AM asked me whether she could pack some breakfast. The beach was awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was exceptionally clean. The staff at grasshopper were professional and ensured that I had a very good breakfast experience.

When I checked in there was a gentleman when he came to know I had booked through booking.com, got excited all of a sudden and insisted that I pay the money upfront. His attitude was very poor and treated me like I was going to dash without paying though I had given my credit card details to booking.com. Moreover, once I made the payment, he just abandoned me without informing about the room details and went to chat with someone else. I was left stranded in the lobby till someone handed me the room key. I was not explained the room details, or Wi-Fi details, nothing. I think he already prejudged me based on my appearance, skin colour etc. I was upset with the way I was abandoned after paying the credit card bill which is all the gentleman seemed to be interested in. I think such people have no place in the hospitality industry. This happened on the fourth of October around 11.30PM. I also found the room service to be slow.

Literally nothing. Paid 5 star prices for a hovel with scary crowd. Felt unsafe and dirty.

We stayed for two nights at Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel and overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The hotel is spacious, welcoming, and offers a lovely ambiance—especially in the evenings with live piano music in the lobby.---Check-in and Staff:The check-in process was smooth and efficient. A special mention to Surya Santhosh at the reception who greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcome. The gentleman who assisted with our luggage and guided us to the room (apologies, we missed his name) was extremely courteous and helpful.---Rooms and Facilities:Our room was clean, cozy, and featured a well-stocked mini-bar with snacks and drinks. The bed was comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the courtyard. There’s a dual-door setup—one for the hallway and another providing direct access to the pool and courtyard restaurant, which we found very convenient.We did notice a small leak from the toilet flush switch, but it was minor. The hotel provides mosquito repellent in the room, which helped, though a few still managed to sneak in. Despite this, the bed and linens were very comfortable and kept us well rested.---Dining:The dining experience, especially breakfast in the courtyard, was delightful. There was a live kitchen serving fresh dosa and appam, and a good mix of South Indian and Western options like muesli and pasta. The staff during breakfast were friendly and attentive, even though we couldn’t catch their names. Dinner was okay but didn’t quite carry the authentic Kerala flavor we had hoped for.---Pools and Recreation:We enjoyed the pools—there are separate ones for kids and adults, and the water was comfortably warm. However, some maintenance is needed, especially in the kids’ area where there were broken tiles and exposed electrical cables that should be sealed. The men’s changing room also needs attention, particularly the locker area where some keys were missing.

Rooms were good and comfortable.. Staff was polite and welcoming.

Had a fridge problem and it was sorted in 15 minutes. The menus are hard to read online so bought 2 eggs and coffee for the cost of a complete buffet breakfast.Nice pools. The filtered water bottles do not work as the bottles are not properly cleaned ( hotel informed) Nice rooms and if you ask for something it will be acted upon.Walk out to the seawall and to your left is a nice restaurant called the 3rd Rock.Room service food good and quick.

Generally OK

Inflexible and uncooperative attitude of the management. Highly overpriced food charges, especially when there is no nearby decent eatery.Location is not near any beach. Any beach is 5 km away. You can only view the sea from the hotel .Generally there is too much hype about the regular facility.

The staff were professional, kind and helpful. The bed was so comfortable and the room peaceful and very clean.

The room was a good size, and the room cleaned daily.

When we checked in, nothing was mentioned about the wedding that was due to take place. We were told it would be a 2 day event. It lasted 5 days! The setting up and clearing afterwards meant the grounds was closed off, including the swimming pool area. The noise was horrendous. Went on until midnight one night, loud thumping music.When we were allowed to go to the swimming pool, the water was filthy. I didn't go in. I didn't see anyone cleaning it the whole week we were there.

The room was comfortable although a little tired. The staff in the bar by the pool were very friendly and courteous and Godfrey tried to be very helpful

The fact we were asked to pay for sunbeds even though it was a 5 ⭐️ hotel The restaurant was a bit chaotic and food choice was limited The hotel put a wedding before the comfort of their guests they should locate wedding guests near the wedding not guests on vacation Our room was vibrating and the glass rattling with the noise and this was for 3 nights. The day we left another wedding was being set up. I understand that a wedding generates lots of revenue but it should not affect the other paying guests You need to maybe close the hotel during weddings We did not feel valued whatsoever
